Burglass & Tankersley is pleased to announce that Bruce Burglass, Jr. has been reappointed to serve on the Surplus Lines Advisory Council of the Louisiana Department of Insurance by Louisiana Commissioner of Insurance James J. Donelon.

Mr. Burglass joins a select group of dedicated insurance professionals on the Surplus Lines Advisory Council to address issues facing the Louisiana surplus lines market in a variety of matters involving commercial general liability, personal lines, construction claims, garage policies, product liability and a myriad of other surplus lines claims.

Mr. Burglass will work with other insurance professionals and the Louisiana Department of Insurance to help build and maintain a favorable legal and regulatory environment in Louisiana for regional and national surplus line companies. Mr. Burglass has been practicing for over twenty-four years concentrating his practice in the areas of insurance defense, class action defense, construction, and maritime matters. Mr. Burglass is a member of the New Orleans Bar Association, American Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel and Louisiana Surplus Lines Association.
